Fading

I stand here now,
Where I saw you cry.
You would wail so loud.
And in the soil you lie

You have died
But you are not gone
Until my mind betrays me
You'll stay, you'll belong.

You cried rivers
that carved the landscape.
Your tears moved the soil as
Your words moved me.

I can still hear your faint howls,
Even if you lost your voice long ago.
To hear you cry once more,
Just to hear your voice.

I will say goodbye,
But you cannot hear.
You are far,
But I still hold you near.
